JOINING THE COMMITTEE
Are you interested in joining our committee?
As a member of our committee, you will need to:
Commit to attending the following events: Annual General Meeting (AGM); team building and planning events; a minimum of 4 out of 6 of the Management Committee meetings per year and any additional events.
Be accountable for the tasks assigned and are responsible for.
We have the following vacancies:
Chair
Chair meetings of the committee and WFWN
Represent WFWN at functions and meeting that WFWN have been invited to
Act as the spokesperson of WFWN when necessary
60 to 70% of the role is outside of meetings
Enable equal participation and focus
Facilitate consensus-based decision making
Vice Chair
Maintaining the membership of WFWN including the database
Work with and support the Chair
Stand in for the Chair when and as necessary
Secretary
Ensuring that meetings are scheduled in advance, including room bookings for meetings
Taking minutes at WFWN Committee meetings and circulating to members
Keeping records of meetings and maintaining WFWN governance documents
Prepare in consultation with the Chair the agenda for meetings of the Committee
Take and keep minutes of all meetings
Collect and circulate any relevant information within WFWN
Treasurer
Supervise the financial affairs of WFWN
Keep proper accounts that show all monies received and paid out by WFWN
Prepare a Treasurer’s report for the AGM
Grants Lead
Future funding planning and grant writing/applications
Fundraising Lead
Seeking and organising fundraising events and opportunities
Networking Coordinator
Enabling community cohesion for the benefit of women of Waltham Forest
Social Media and Marketing Lead
Managing the on-line and off-line promotion of WFWN activities and profile
Leading on social media profiles: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

Committee Selection Process
Your expression of interest will be reviewed by the current Committee, and you may be contacted by a committee member to discuss it further.
Committee members will be confirmed at our next Annual General Meeting on the 24th of September.
Please submit your applications before or by the 18th of September 2020. Any applications sent after this will not be accepted.
